this is from memory, but i think this video is actually part of a medley of songs (there is a light, the queen is dead, and something else), was directed by (the late?) derek jarman.

from what i've read, he's somewhat of a famous cult director, who happens to be gay. i don't think i know any of his works though, other than outside the smiths.

I've seen some Jarman film about a train and Japanese Elvis fans a long, long time ago.

This song really speaks to anyone wanting to flee their home, whatever their sexual orientation. I love the video, which I've never seen, the shimmery firy silkeness of it. Lovely!
