I loved The Smiths too. Really spoke to me. Got me beaten up in Catholic school too. It was such music for a gal, who was uncertain of her own gender and sexuality. The lyrics on some of his songs are beautiful.

I'm sorry for your difficult times - but it's good to have music to back you up and keep you strong. Some of their songs are too emotionally wraught for me to listen to.

I had to listen to this, for old times sake. My boyfriend in high school was secretly in love with Morrissey and I still remember almost all the lyrics to This Charming Man--"I would go out tonight/ but I haven't got a stitch to wea-ar..."
